SMS Messaging Terms


By providing your phone number and opting in to receive SMS messages from QUIZO, you agree to the following terms:


Brand Name / Company Name: QUIZO


Purpose of SMS Messages: You may receive SMS messages from us regarding account updates, notifications, quiz-related information, and promotional offers (if you have explicitly opted in for promotional messages).


Pricing Disclosure and Costs: Message and data rates may apply. You are responsible for any charges incurred from your mobile carrier for receiving SMS messages.


Message Frequency: You will receive up to1440 messages per month.


How to Opt-Out: You may unsubscribe at any time by texting the word OPT-OUT to  +18339804661. You may receive a subsequent message confirming your opt-out request.

QUIZO.IO Texting Terms and Conditions

These Texting Terms of Use apply when you give prior express consent to receive text messages from QUIZO.IO. Text messaging may include one-time or recurring texts related to your QUIZO.IO subscription, including but not limited to:

  • Question and Answer Notifications: Updates regarding submitted questions, answers received, and related service information.
  • Subscription Updates: Notifications about your subscription status, billing reminders, and account-related alerts.
  • Service Announcements: Information about new features, content updates, and important service announcements from QUIZO.IO.

You and QUIZO.IO agree that the only way to stop receiving text messages for a specific texting program is to reply OPT-OUT. You understand and agree that replying OPT-OUT to one texting program will only opt you out of that specific program. If you are enrolled in multiple QUIZO.IO texting programs, you must reply OPT-OUT to each program from which you no longer wish to receive messages.


For help with any QUIZO.IO texting program, you may text HELP. Text messages may be sent to your mobile number using an automatic dialing system. Message and Data rates may apply. Text messaging may not be available through all mobile carriers.


IF YOU NO LONGER WANT TEXT MESSAGES FROM QUIZO.IO, YOU MUST REPLY OPT-OUT TO EACH TEXTING PROGRAM YOU ENROLLED IN.

After you send "OPT-OUT" to QUIZO.IO, we may send you a confirmation message to verify that you have been unsubscribed from that specific texting program. Following this confirmation, you will no longer receive text messages from that program. If you wish to re-subscribe, you can do so by signing up again through the QUIZO.IO platform.

QUIZO.IO does not guarantee the successful delivery of text messages by your wireless provider. Messages sent via text may not be delivered if your mobile device is outside a transmission area, or if there is a network outage. Various factors beyond the control of wireless carriers can interfere with message delivery, including terrain, proximity to buildings, foliage, weather conditions, and your device's equipment. QUIZO.IO and your wireless provider will not be liable for any losses or damages arising from:

  • A message that is not delivered.
  • A message that is delivered late.
  • A message sent to an incorrect phone number due to inaccurate information provided by you.
  • Inaccurate or incomplete content in a text message.

QUIZO.IO is not responsible for your use of or reliance on the content of any text message.

QUIZO.IO can deliver messages to the following mobile phone carriers: Major carriers: AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, Alltel, Boost Mobile, Nextel, and Virgin Mobile. Minor carriers: Alaska Communications Systems (ACS), Appalachian Wireless (EKN), Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular One of East Central IL (ECIT), Cellular One of Northeast Pennsylvania, Cincinnati Bell Wireless, Cricket, Coral Wireless (Mobi PCS), COX, Cross, Element Mobile (Flat Wireless), Epic 1  Touch (Elkhart Telephone), GCI, Golden State, Hawkeye (Chat Mobility), Hawkeye (NW Missouri), Illinois Valley Cellular, Inland Cellular, iWireless (Iowa Wireless), Keystone Wireless (Immix Wireless/PC Man), Mosaic (Consolidated or CTC Telecom), Nex-Tech Wireless, NTelos, Panhandle Communications, Pioneer, Plateau (Texas RSA 3 Ltd), Revol, RINA, Simmetry (TMP Corporation), Thumb Cellular, Union Wireless, United Wireless, Viaero Wireless, and West Central (WCC or 5 Star Wireless). Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.  


If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, please contact your wireless provider directly. If you have questions about the QUIZO.IO service, please refer to our website or contact our customer support through the channels provided on our platform.

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Your Responsibilities

Please promptly notify QUIZO.IO if your mobile phone number changes. It is your responsibility to provide an accurate mobile number and to update any changes to your contact information. QUIZO.IO is not responsible for text messages sent to an incorrect phone number if you fail to inform us of a change.

By consenting to receive text messages from QUIZO.IO, you acknowledge and accept these Texting Terms and Conditions.

Consumer Communications Notice

 

This Consumer Communications Notice (“Notice”) describes some of the ways in which QUIZO.IO (“we,” “us,” or “our”) may communicate with you. This Notice applies when you agree to this Notice or when this Notice is made available as a link or otherwise on or through our online and mobile websites, platforms, services, and applications (collectively, “Online Services”). This Notice governs (a) electronic delivery of communications about your QUIZO.IO subscription, service updates, and related information via email, websites, and mobile applications (collectively, “Informational Electronic Communications”) and (b) informational calls and text messaging (“Informational Calls and Texts”) regarding the QUIZO.IO services we make available to you. 

You will have the opportunity to update your contact information and choose your communication delivery preferences. It is your responsibility to provide us with true and accurate contact information and to promptly update any changes. We may use the same contact information previously provided if you modify your subscription or add new features or services that we make available to you. You understand that failing to update your contact information may delay the delivery of Informational Electronic Communications. You release and hold us harmless from any consequences resulting from your failure to provide us with accurate contact information or to update your contact information.

We reserve the right to modify this Notice at any time. The modified Notice will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued receipt of Informational Electronic Communications and Informational Calls and Texts will constitute your acceptance of the modified Notice.

A. Informational Electronic Communications

We may provide you with Informational Electronic Communications. These communications include, but are not limited to, information about your QUIZO.IO subscription, updates on submitted questions and received answers, new features, service announcements, billing reminders, account-related alerts, newsletters, and surveys related to our services. You acknowledge and accept that these communications may be sent via unencrypted methods and that there is a potential risk of disclosure or interception of the contents.

Any request to opt-out of receiving Informational Electronic Communications will be effective only after we have a reasonable period of time to process your request. Opt-outs may not apply to certain essential communications, such as critical account status updates or Online Service updates. 

Communications sent electronically may be provided either (1) via email; (2) by access to a website that we will designate in a notice we send to you when the information is available; or (3) by other electronic means through our Online Services. At our discretion, we may still send you paper communications in addition to electronic communications.

B. Informational Calls and Texts

When you provide us with a telephone number, whether landline or mobile, you consent to us contacting you, using automated, pre-recorded, or non-automated means, to provide you with information about your QUIZO.IO subscription, service updates, new features, and other relevant information about our services.

Our Online Services may permit you to enroll in text messaging programs related to QUIZO.IO. The frequency and content of our text messages will vary depending on the specific texting program you enroll in. As part of the enrollment process for each texting program, we will provide specific information on how to unsubscribe or seek assistance. Our separate Texting Terms and Conditions, as well as any program-specific requirements, apply to your interactions with us via text message and are incorporated into this Notice by reference.
